A Fun 4th (and 3rd)!

We had a fun-filled 4th Of July this year. The fun actually began on the 3rd with a ride on the miniature train with our friends the Heads. Even though they don't speak to each other yet, Spencer & Will are being set up to be big-time buds in years to come. :)
Later that afternoon, our niece & nephew, Trip & Mary Tish, came over. I really can not get over how big they are getting...almost 15 & 13! I love that they still enjoy coming to our house and hanging out with our crazy kids. Tate seriously thinks they hung the moon and LOVES every single minute being with them both.

MT went to work quick making some yummy, festive cupcakes.

There was a lot of jumping to be done.

 Swimming to be swum.
 Pizza to be eaten.
And fireworks to watch.
The next morning we celebrated the 75-point mark for Tate's Super Summer Challenge with Go-Karts. It is hilarious how much this kid likes any kind of motorized vehicle. When he rode with me the first time, he was yelling to go faster almost the entire way. And bumper boats were no exception, either. Spraying water on people and "crashing" into them...like the best day ever in his world. :)
The big kids headed home, and we headed to Mimi & Grandpa's house for lots of swimming and fun.
Synchronized Backstrokes!
Whoever invented the Puddle Jumper flotation thing is a genius in my book. Genius.
And it was fun to get some time with Mr. Max while he was on a solo trip at M&G's house.
A fun couple of days filled with swimming, pizza, go-karts, fireworks, cupcakes, and family. Can you get any more All-American than that?
