Will's (First) First Day Of Preschool

This was Will's first year to go to preschool two days a week. It is hard to believe that it is already time to start this phase with him.  Time is flying.

With Will I have learned that some things don't always go as I expect. Good life lesson for us all. :) So my tradition of the cute posed "first day" pictures out on the porch by yourself, with Mommy, with Daddy, showing off backpack, etc., had to have a little shift in expectation management.

This is what we got.

Now to be honest, I do have about 10 pictures. But the rest pretty much look like this. Keeping it real.

Sweet boy wanted nothing to do with his backpack and does not like to be confined. And he really doesn't like to be outside NOT playing. Hopefully we will find a compromise in time for the "last day" pictures in May.

Will had a hard time going into class the first few days. Not because he was sad I was leaving, but because he wanted to play on the big slide right outside his classroom. It's tough being 2 years old sometimes.  But by Day 4, Happy Will made his entrance into class.

I know this is going to be a great year for Will. Amazing that by the end of this year, he will already be 3! I'm thankful for his super sweet teachers, who seem to have incredible patience, and a school that I know is surrounding him with lots of learning and love every time he is there.
